Where's BAC Country?

Jofree Lakes
Joffre Lakes
Over the past 10 years, BAC has been best recognized for it's proximity to the world class resort of Whistler British Columbia. Whistler is a host city of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and BAC has much to offer the outdoor enthusiasts who will be exploring the area before and during the 2010 Winter Games.

Pemberton has been declared a "Gateway" to the back country of British Columbia and has a variety of adventures to explore such as; snowmobiling, snowshoeing, horseback riding, ATV touring, river rafting, golfing, cross-country skiing, paragliding, glider plane flights, fishing, hunting, hiking. It's surrounding outdoor playground is vast.

Pemberton is a beautiful place to visit and play. The tranquility of the farmland and small community compliments the natural setting of the back country experiences travellers seek. Pemberton truly offers the best of both the world class resort and nature lover worlds.

The village is full of quaint shops you would expect to find in a small town.  Shops include; grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, general store, sporting goods store, video store and many more.

The Pemberton Museum, a small pioneer village depicting the life of settler's in the Valley, shares this bit of history with visitors.

Several restaurants offer a variety of cuisine, to choose from in the village. You can also choose to dine in a more traditional Pemberton Steak house with internationally renowned local Pemberton potatoes (one of the communities strongest international exports).

Since this is a traditional rural farming community, you will find a wide selection local food from fresh farm eggs at the local grocery store to delicious U-pick strawberries from North Arm Farms.

This community is a wonderful mixture of rural pioneer culture and exciting outdoor activities. A great alternative to the busy Whistler Resort activities. Come and stay with us and enjoy a more relaxing and fun experience.
